The AlUqair Events 2025 project, commissioned by PRO4 for the AlUqair Area Development, outlines architectural and design plans for events at the Uqair Beach site. The site plan includes an event area (10,060 sqm) and a parking area (9,480 sqm), alongside existing pedestrian pathways and access roads.

Key Architectural Features

The design utilizes modular, customizable structures built from timber and fabric, which can be adapted for various event themes. Specific components include:

Modular Booths: Available in small (3x3x2.5m) and large (4.5x4.5x2.5m) sizes with timber-framed panel infills.

Entrance Gate: Features a timber structure decorated with custom natural wood panel cutouts.

Stage Architecture: Consists of a wooden platform and 1x1 framed boxes that utilize customizable fabric or timber panel infills.

Event Themes and Infill Examples

The project identifies specific aesthetic themes for different events, incorporating various materials and color schemes:

Noqoush/Motif Festival: Leaf weaving and patterned fabrics with a vibrant color scheme.

Pearling Season/Musical Cultural Journey:Dotted nets and patterned fabric with a muted off-white scheme.

Art Residency: Ropes and wavy patterned fabrics with a sea-inspired color scheme.

Seafood Market: Nets and traditional cutout wood with an ochre color scheme.

King Abdullah Aziz Camp Experience: Thin translucent fabric and meshes with a bright, pastel color scheme.

Persistent Service Structures

Permanent or persistent site services include security, a multipurpose tent, guest and stage toilets, kitchen facilities, offices, storage, cold storage, green rooms, water tanks, and generators.
